CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

  • We’re hiring for a full-time Commerical Partnerships Manager!

    The Commercial Partnership Manager oversees the creation, expansion and management of strategic commercial partnerships by developing and promoting MFF events and assets via world-class stakeholder engagement, management and delivery.
     
    In a dynamic, small team environment, this role entails managing and nurturing assigned commercial partners to ensure the fulfillment of contractual obligations and deal terms.
     
    With a primary focus on partnership retention, acquisition and management, the position also involves assisting in various administrative tasks and project coordination within the commercial partnerships team and across other departments.

    Role Responsibilities

    Revenue
    • Proactively source new partnership opportunities, establish contacts with key decision makers

    • Oversee and manage relationships and retention of existing partners;

    • Develop objectives-aligned brand partnership proposals;

    • Drive the Festival’s new business development activity through the acquisition and growth of brand-aligned partnerships.

    • Present new business opportunities

    • Support the negotiation and delivery commercial contracts with sponsors, meeting internal contracting process requirements

    • Advocate and promote corporate hospitality ticket package solutions to Partners and stakeholders.

    • Assist in identifying strategically aligned opportunities for new commercial revenue growth streams.

    • Meet/exceed annual revenue targets with a minimum target per annum to be set with the Head of Partnerships and the COO;

    Account Management
    • Provide exceptional account management of partner relationships, overseeing a suite of major MFF accounts and end-to-end support and management.

    • Prepare reports, proposals and evaluations for partners; new and existing.

    • Build and nurture relationships with current partners to ensure maximum value of the partnership.

    • Lead and manage WIPs with partners and internal stakeholders.

    • Activate and fulfil contractual assets, promotions and programs.

    • Host partners and stakeholders at Festival events and support partner ticket management and distribution

    • Any other duties that may arise in the fulfilment of the Role Objective

    • Work to critical timelines and ensure the professional, timely and accurate delivery of all contracted commitments made by MFF to its partners, using project management tools such as Mondays.com.

    Partnership Benefit Delivery
    • Collaborate proactively with all other business streams to deliver partner benefits, and to develop opportunities for partners to leverage their investment.

    • Collaborate with relevant business units to propose unique audience value-add experiences, brand exposure opportunities, on-site activations, promotional initiatives, new partner assets, B2B networking opportunities and tactical marketing / event solutions that drive return on investment while adding value to MFF’s programme.

    Key Selection Criteria
    • 4+ years previous business development and/or sponsorship sales or account management experience, ideally in an events, cultural organisation, festival, sports, media or agency context

    • Proven capability to develop and maintain positive commercial relationships.

    • Excellent communication skills; high level ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

    Location and Other Terms
    The position is a full-time employment contract, commencing immediately.

    The position is based at the organisation's offices at Duckboard House, Flinders Lane, Melbourne or remote working conditions where required.
